Before writing bestselling fiction, Richard Phillips graduated from West Point, served as an Army officer and qualified as a Ranger, and earned a master’s degree in physics at the Naval Postgraduate School.
His work at Los Alamos and Lawrence Livermore National Laboratories, followed by a career in advanced technology, is why the science in these novels feels like someone who has actually been in the room.
